Nanny State Alert!

Liberal Democrats education spokesman Ed Davey says that all junk food ads...all junk food ads...should be banned in a bid to reduce childhood obesity.

Didn't they advertise junk food on TV in the 1950s and 1960s? I bet they did. Did they have problems with childhood obesity? Nope. The problem is not junk food itself or advertising junk food. The problem is that there are too many kids out there eating too much, not exercising enough, and parents and schools aren't doing a damned thing about it.

It seem that the Liberal Democrats not only want to dictate what we see advertised on television, they want to take over the job of parenting Britain's children. Nanny staters!
